Kelly Willenborg
Certified Brain Health Gerontologist, Founder, MyMemoryWorx
Ms. Willenborg is an entrepreneur and educator of non-pharmacological interventions for brain health. She is the founder of MyMemoryWorx (2016) which offers cognitive assessments and innovative interventions. She is certified in several programs geared to the senior population for fitness, mobility and speech (PWR!, Rock Steady Boxing, Speak Out!, CST andamp; Drums Alive). Her most recent start-up is a not-for-profit resource center called the Parkinson’s Institute of Effingham. Her work with the aging population began on a musical note in 2010 with the launch of The Healing Jukebox; an arm for delivering musical engagement and education to long term care and memory care residents / staff. The Healing Jukebox has placed 120+ IPods in over 10 facilities. Ms Willenborg continues to advocate for music therapy as a board member of Tri-Music, a non-for-profit agency in Central Illinois. Her advocacy led to opportunities to host movie premieres for the award winning documentary on personalized music, “Alive Inside”. She completed her undergraduate studies at St. Louis University, her Master’s in Aging Studies / Gerontology from Eastern Illinois University and will soon be completing her Health andamp; Wellness Coach Certification (NBHWC).
